The Scottsbluff Police Department teamed up with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Speeding Catches Up With You from July 10-31, 2023. Officers worked a total of 83 hours of overtime.
This enforcement effort resulted in the following;
Speeding citations 13, Reckless Driving citations 2, Arrests for Driving Under the Influence 4, Felony Arrests 5, Fugitives Apprehended 14, Minor In Possession citations 12, Open Container citations 6, Seat Belt citations 2, Child Passenger Safety Restraint citations 1, No Valid Registration 19, No Insurance 3, No License 8, Driving Under Suspension 7, Stop Sign 2, Paraphernalia 3, Leaving the Scene 2, Learner’s Permit Violation 2, Drug Possession 3.
A total of 96 citations were issued and 222 contacts were made during this period.
Although this grant is over, the Scottsbluff Police Department will continue to actively enforce traffic laws in Scottsbluff and Terrytown.
