The Scottsbluff Police Department has completed the U drive. U Text. U Pay. Mobilization. Scottsbluff Police Officers worked overtime to look for drivers that were texting while driving. The overtime for this grant was funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
Scottsbluff Police Officers took the following enforcement action:

Five minor in possession citations

Two stop light citations

Four open containers

Five possession of drug paraphernalia citations

Two impeding traffic citations

Six driving under suspension citations

Six stop sign violations

Five seat belt citations

Three possession of less than one ounce of marijuana citations

Five no insurance citations

Five no operator’s license citations

Two fictitious license plate citations

One improper turn citation
-
Five warrant arrests
-
Two identify theft arrests

Two possession of a controlled substance arrests
There were 56 warnings issued.
