On March 7, Scottsbluff Police Officers responded to several reports of a male pointing a handgun at motorists. A description of the male as well as a vehicle description were given. Officers located the male and the described vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. The male ran from officers but was apprehended and taken into custody. The male was charged with; terroristic threats, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, three additional counts of possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl, Oxycodone, and Dilaudid) and open container. The male was identified as Eric Spencer Thomas Jones, 34, of Colorado.
