On 07/26/2025, at approximately 1331 hours, officers were dispatched the McDonald’s Restaurant entrance for the report MVA involving a van and motorcycle. The motorcycle driver was reported injured. Officers arrived and met with both drivers. Jerry Hall Jr, 60 of Scottsbluff, was the driver of the van. Kevin McCathern Jr, 38 of Scottsbluff, was the driver of the motorcycle. Hall was eastbound on W. 27th St. Hall entered the middle turn lane. Hall turned north into the McDonald’s Restaurant parking lot. McCathern was westbound on W. 27th St. in the right-hand lane. The front of the motorcycle collided with the passenger’s side of the van. EMS/Fire arrived and assisted SPD officers. McCathern was transported to RWMC for non-life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending until surveillance footage is reviewed.
