Stanley L. Behm, 76, of Alliance, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Highland Park Care Center.
Stanley was born on July 3, 1945 in Alliance, Nebraska to Leonard and Lily (Neilson) Behm. He grew up on the family farm in Alliance with his sister Violet. He attended Alliance High School where he met his future wife Anna L. Behm. He went on to attend Trade School at Milford, Nebraska. After graduating, he and Anna married and had three children together. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as a machinist until they purchased some land down the road from his parents and went into full time farming. Stanley took pride in working the land until he retired and fell ill in late 2016. He then moved to Highland Park Care Center where he spent his final years in the excellent care of their staff including Steph Moody who went out of her way to spoil him each time she worked.
He is survived by his daughter, Chanda Carney and husband, Jim of Aubrey, TX, son, Bryan Behm and wife DeeDee of Alliance, daughter, Amy Sims Auanger and husband, Larry of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Justin, Hannah, and Joseph Carney, Veronica Golden, Shayleen Baumann, and Kimberly Sims; great-grandchildren, Addi, Justin Jr. and Jax Carney, Blakelyn Golden, Dustin McMurray, Maelynn Foster; and sister Violet Yuill of Alliance.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
