State-Ranked Lady Cardinals Halter Bulldogs

Chadron visited Alliance on Tuesday evening for a Lady’s basketball contest. The Cardinals came into the contest with a 15-2 mark and rated #5 in the C-1 power points. The first quarter would find the Bulldogs playing strong defense while holding the high-powered Cardinals down. The Cardinals could only manage an 8-3 lead in the quarter. The Cardinal defensive pressure would increase and the Bulldogs would fall on the night by a 47-13 score.

Sophomore, Shelbee Burke in her first varsity start of her career would lead the team in our Value Point System on the night. In the statistical categories another sophomore, Angie Davis would lead the scoring with 5 points. Senior, Jordan Hopp would lead the rebounding department with 10 boards.

The Bulldogs in their last two games have faced the #5 team in Class A in power points and well as the #5 team in C-1 in power points. I guess it is only fitting that they move on Friday to play at Scottsbluff, the #5 team in the Class B power points. The Bulldog schedule has been loaded this year with Class A schools and state rated teams in all classes. No excuses, the Bulldogs are striving to become better with each game.
