Thompson, Stricker, Casey, Hunter, and Miller Take Firsts at AHS Quad Meet

A four school junior varsity track meet was held Monday at Alliance’s Bulldog stadium. Teams competing were Chadron, Scottsbluff, Hemingford, and Alliance. No team scores were compiled. The Bobcats on Hemingford had a nice showing, taking gold in 5 events. For the ladies, the Cats got a first place finish from Teagan Thompson in the 400 and Alexis Stricker in the shot. Hemingford boys had gold medal efforts by Eli Hunter in the pole vault, Kaiden Casey in the high jump , and Joshua Miller in the discus.

“Any day we get a chance to compete is a great day. We were happy we had MANY athletes that wanted to compete at the JV Quad in Alliance. It was a little breezy for PRs on the track, but we did have some kids use their power to get through the wind and set some PRs. Many others did a nice job of using the opportunities to continue to develop,” said Coach Joshua Dean.
