Three Veterans Honored with Quilts of Valor

Three veterans were honored and wrapped with Quilts of Valor in a ceremony Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Alliance City Park lead by Kathy Dye of Panhandle Blocks, the local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The American Legion Post #7 and American Legion Riders Panhandle Chapter # 43 also assisted.

The three veterans include:

-Ryan D Robinson (Gering NE) US Natl Guard – his quilt was made by Cindy Zurn and quilted by Linda Schneider.

-Brandon J Robinson (Cairo, NE) US Army Natl Guard/US Army – his quilt was made by Cindy Zurn and quilted by Chris Wolf.

-Marissa M Robinson (Cairo, NE) US Army Natl Guard/US Army – her quilt was made by Cindy Zurn, quilted by Christy Anderson, bound by Cindy Zurn and Anne Dunn.

Ryan and Brandon are brothers; Marissa is Brandon’s wife, and together they were joined for pictures by Ryan’s wife, Shada, whom had previously received her Quilt of Valor in a separate ceremony in Grand Island.

A nice crowd of friends, family members and Panhandle Block members were in attendance.

Thank you, Ryan, Brandon, Marissa and Shada for you service and “WELCOME HOME!”
