Tim was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and spent much of his formative years exploring the Scotts Bluff National Monument and Platte River area, rock hunting with his family, and playing sports.
They later moved to Alliance where he started junior high. He was a successful student and tremendous athlete, and made many life long friends. He attended Kearney State College, now University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he also played football.
Tim and his brother, Dan, moved to Omaha in 1978 to partner with MPW-Metro Poured Wall. They later sold their share of the company and Tim continued to work part-time for MPW. He met his wife of 41 years, Anita, in Lincoln and they married in 1979.
Tim loved the Sandhills, sunrises, the beach, reading, old movies, and his dog, Dooey. He was as tough as an old work boot on the outside, and as soft as a baby’s skin on the inside. He was sometimes generous to a fault and would often “loan” money to friends in need. When his niece became ill several years ago, he decided to start donating platelets and did so as often as was allowed. Although he was a homebody, he loved annual trips to the Caribbean beaches. He was blessed with a loving family and many nieces and nephews, along with many dear friends.
Survived by his wife Anita, and canine companion Dooey; brother, Dan (Becky) Spencer of Omaha; sister, Peggy (Scott) Tomsovic of Sheridan, WY., and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to St. Judes or Town and Country Humane Society in Papillion.
