Traffic Stop Leads to Two Drug Arrests

On March 31, 2025, at approximately 1:20 PM, Sergeant Peterson of the Alliance Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a white Volkswagen Golf with no license plates near 10th Street and Platte Avenue.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and a package inside. During the search, officers located approximately 36 grams of methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation, a female and a male were arrested for possession and distribution of a controlled substance. This investigation remains on-going, and the results of today’s investigation are preliminary.

This successful operation was made possible through the combined efforts of the Alliance Police Department, the U.S. Postal Service, the WING Task Force, and the Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office. The teamwork and coordination among these agencies played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our community.
