A two-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon sent one person to BBGH to be treated for injuries.
According to Lieutenant Cody Buskirk with the Alliance Police Department, at 2:38 p.m., officers from the Alliance Police Department responded to the report of an accident at the intersection of Sixth Street and Big Horn Avenue.
A black 2016 GMC driven by Alicia Chavez, of San Felipe Pueblo, N.M., and a 1998 Honda CRV driven by a 17-year-old Alliance woman collided in the intersection.
There were three occupants in the GMC, all of whom were wearing seatbelts. One occupant complained of pain, but refused medical assistance.
There was only one occupant in the Honda, and, according to Buskirk, a seatbelt was not in use. The driver was transported to BBGH to be treated for minor injuries.
“No citations have been issued at this time,” said Buskirk.
