Wallace (Wally) B. Adam, 87, passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2021. He was born October 14, 1933 in Hyannis, NE, the son of George Donald and Marcella (Shackelford) Adam.
Wally graduated from Alliance High School and went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Nebraska and a Masters Degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the Air Force Institute. Wally was a 22-year veteran of the United States Air Force, including service as a pilot in the Viet Nam conflict. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a project manager for DynCorp. On July 27, 1962 Wallace married Dorothy C. (Connie) Ford in Osage City, KS.
Wally was a member of MOAA, AIAA, and the Scottish Rite Temple. He served on the board of directors of Zia Therapy Center and the American Armed Forces Museum. Wally was a long-time member of the Los Paisanos RV club and a parishioner of Grace United Methodist Church.
Wally is survived by his wife of 58 years Connie (Ford) Adam and his sons Bradley Adam and his wife Lorraine of Alamogordo, NM and Steven Adam and his wife Terri of Bangor, ME; four grandchildren Gordon, Dylan, Katherine, and Daniel Adam. He was preceded in death by his siblings Lois May Behm, Dwain Adam, and Robert Adam and is survived by John and his wife Anne Adam, Ted and his wife Nann Adam, Tom and his wife Ilene Adam, Cindy and her husband Dale Berndt, and Peggy and her husband Jim Weber, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 6th at the Ft. Stanton State Veteran Cemetery in Fort Stanton, NM.

The Adam family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Scenic Chapel to direct the funeral services.
