As I look out my picture window in the morning and see the pretty yellow sun come up I notice it slowly inching up to the north and in a few short months it will come back slowly to the south. Utterly amazing how God’s cosmic order is in place.
What if the sun or the earth had a free will and could do what it wants? Maybe quit moving. Maybe move faster. Maybe get closer? I bet we could stir up all kinds of adversity. Storms. floods. droughts. discontent. hatred to no end. That is what happens to mankind.
We have that free will and instead of following God’s perfect order we are going to hold on dearly to those inner desires of our heart which contain much pride, hatred, greed, self centeredness and the like. We will never let them go until God grants us His grace so that we can be free indeed all because He loves us.
