East Point Horspice (EPH) is the place where “People and horses come together.”
Having received its 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 2006, EPH has evolved from a horse rescue to a therapeutic riding program wherein these rescued horses are rehabilitated, retrained, and given a new lease on life through their utilization in the annual 10-week summer riding program. It seemed a natural fit to use these incredibly understanding and intuitive creatures as mechanisms to enrich the lives of the people they encounter. It became a situation where rescued horses were rescuing us.
EPH is open to all who are interested in either volunteering, participating as riders, or expanding personal horsemanship goals. Any avenue taken will guarantee an unexpected experience providing cherished memories and improvements both physically, mentally, and spiritually for all involved. The mystical ability of equines to connect with people and help them through their human issues must be witnessed to be believed.
EPH also offers horsemanship and riding lessons. It has been proven that horses are equally skilled in overcoming fear and trauma situations, not just riding.
