Wilbur, Keith County Highway Superintendent, Earns NIRMA Special Recognition Award

Thomas Wilbur has received a Special Recognition Award from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA), Keith County’s property, liability and workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider.

The award was based on Wilbur’s work as Highway Superintendent, where he has innovated to incorporate a mobile device app into his department’s operations, and engaged in proactive efforts to foster a safe workplace, by incorporating NIRMA’s loss prevention recommendations and participating in its programs.

The award announcement was made at a banquet in Kearney on Oct. 24, held in conjunction with the association’s annual membership conference attended by officials and employees in Nebraska counties and related public agencies that participate in the NIRMA program.

Each year NIRMA honors those members and individuals who demonstrate a commitment to reducing potential risks, liability exposures and claim costs.
