Zurn Strikes Gold at Track Meet in Scottsbluff

Fourteen athletes from Alliance High School-8 boys and 6 girls-qualified for the Best of the West track meet Tuesday night in Scottsbluff. Top finisher for the Bulldogs was Sophomore Trevor Zurn who won the 800 with a 1:59 time. Zurn along with teammates Mario Rodriguez, Devin Graham, and Ben Cassatt Reina took second in the two mile relay with a time 8:32. The Bulldogs were also strong

in the mile run with Cassatt Reina taking second and teammate Asher Saka placing third. The Alliance girls team got a fifth place finish in the 400 relay with a time of 52.1. Members were: Josie Sanders, Danielle Cole, Lexi Lopez, and Kayel Lambert. No team scores were kept.
