On August 3, 2023 James Diedrich Wacker entered into the house of his Lord. J.D. was born April 2, 1981 in Lincoln, Nebraska to James David and Anna M. (Brunsen) Wacker. He graduated from Hemingford High School.
He lived in Lincoln then Birmingham, AL. He then moved to Burlington, IA before ending up in Hemingford. He worked various jobs growing up and worked at Parker in Alliance and finally Burlington Northern Sante Fe as a machinist.
In August 2018 he married Wendy Ward at Sturgis, SD. He was an avid motorcyclist and car enthusiast
He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, James Wacker of Hemingford, his Godchildren, Mia R.Wacker and Jameson J. Wacker of Pensacola, FL, his brothers, Andy Wacker of Omaha, Tony (Julie) Wacker of LaVista, NE, David (Hallie) Wacker of Laramie, WY, Sean (Joelle) Wacker of Shelby, NE and Jason Wacker of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be Thursday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hemingford Fairgrounds Multi-purpose Hall. The Reverend Jonathan Seng will officiate and interment will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Multi-purpose Hall.
