The Alliance Community Bike will add some changes to the program. We have roughly 80 bikes at the garage and we will be repairing those bikes and giving them away to people in the community that needs a bike. This will be on a first come first serve basis. You can put in a request of what type of bike you are looking for. We will still accept donated bikes, or trade a small bike for a bigger bike if you grow out of one. To make a request, you can send an email to AllianceCommunityBike@gmail.com and make your request.
At the moment, we have 2 bikes with 18-inch wheels, 3 bikes 20-inch wells, and 2 bikes with 26-inch wheels that are ready to go.
I will have registration forms available. Bikes will be registered with Activate Alliance, and then you can take the registration to the police station to get a sticker.
We will still continue to maintain the green community bikes. To date, we have painted 105 bikes. Roughly 70 of those are in circulation, which is plenty for this size community. We won’t be painting any more, but we will maintain the ones we have.
If you would like to volunteer to repair the bikes, we are happy to get the help.
