Lee Estrada Obituary

Lee Estrada, 90, passed away on Tuesday September 5,2023 In Black hawk South Dakota.

Lee Estrada was born in Raton New Mexico on June 14, 1933 to Jose B. and Maria (Yebra) Estrada. Lee’s family came across to the United States from Spain where his father joined the U.S. Army. Lee’s family decided to move across the states to Bridgeport Ne from Las Vegas NM, where they worked on the Greenwood Ranch for the Keenan’s as helping hands.

 Lee then himself decided to join the U.S. Marines where he proudly served from January 1952-1955 out in California, Lee was recognized for his dedication, Integrity, and honesty to his country. After serving Lee then moved to Bridgeport Ne, where he began life and started working for the BNSF with the track crew. Later in life Lee got married had 2 boys & 1 girl and started a family.

In 2013 Lee then moved to Black Hawk SD to finish his last adventure of life, in those year’s he made life time friends and family with Val and Scott Smith. Took many last ride Trips with his niece Hayley to his favorite out spots Taco Bell, Ellsworth AFB & afternoon drives in the Black hills. Lee continued to keep his faith in his Family, God and Country.

Lee is Survived by his brother’s Thomas Estrada of Alliance NE, David Estrada Tucson AZ, and his sister-in-law Millie Estrada of Hershey, PA. Son Thomas (Shelly) Estrada TN, Keith Estrada Alliance NE, Landis Estrada Alliance NE, Kirk Estrada Las Lose NM, Martie Loch Alliance NE, Hayley Whitsett Ormond Beach, FL. Many grand kids, cousins, & friends that became family.

Lee will preceded in death his this son Lee, Sisters Ester and Lenore, Brother Ben, Wife Pat, Mom and Dad.

Service of Life will be  Friday October 13th 2023 at the Alliance VA Cemetary at 10:00 a.m. for a side service memorial and burial. The family would like to invite anyone to the Alliance VFW to share memories. Flowers and cards can be sent to his brother.
