Ogallala High School hosted the Ed Moore Invite track meet on Monday. Eight boys and girl’s squads took part in the event. On the boy’s side, it was Chase County winning the team title with 138 points with Gothenburg ending second with 120.5 points. The Alliance boys finished in fifth with 54 points. Taking home first place honors was the Bulldogs 2 mile relay team with a time of 8:27. Team members consisted of: Will Zurn, Asher Saka, Devin Graham, and Trevor Zurn. Alliance got second place performances from Zurn in the both the mile and 2 mile races and Payton Boyer in the triple jump.
For the girls, it was the Lady Longhorns of Chase County winning the team division with 155 points. Gothenburg was second with 94 points. The Lady Bulldogs from Alliance tallied 20 points which was good for eighth. Alliance placed fourth in 5 events. They were: Brooke Bailey in the 400, Josie Sanders in the 300 hurdles, Shyla Salcido in the shot, Alexis Libsack in the triple jump, and the 400 relay.
