Track meet #7 for the Alliance Middle School squad took place in Scottsbluff on Saturday. Seven schools competed in great weather conditions. The hosts Bearcats won both boy’s team titles. Scottsbluff defeated Gering 103 to 102 in winning the 8th grade crown. In the seventh grade division, the Bluffs were first with 147 points while Gering was the runner up at 110 points. AMS boys were fifth on the boy’s side. The Dogs tallied 50 points in the 8th grade with the 7th finishing with 48 points. Chadron, with 107 points, was the winner in the 7th grade girl’s race while Scottsbluff was next with 105. With 131 points, Gering was first in 8th grade girl’s division with Scottsbluff second with 90. The Lady Bulldogs ended seventh in both. AMS’s 8th grade club scored 13 points and the 7th had 26 tallies.
Alliance had 4 blue ribbons effort with seventh grader Dixon Bair leading the way. Bair won both the boy’s 100 and long jump. Fellow seventh grader Jailee Jurado won the girl’s discus with a toss of 66’10. 8th grade Kylar Adams won the boy’s pole vault. Top placer for the 8th grade girls was Myleigh Simmons who took second in the pole vault.
