Five Rocks Ampitheater was the site Friday for the Gering Invite Cross Country meet. Thirteen schools competed. Winning first in the varsity boy’s competition was Austin Benda from Hemingford with a time of 17:30. Lady Bulldog Penn Vergil was the champ in the junior high girl’s race with a time of 12:12. The Bobcat boys won the varsity team division while AMS junior high girls were also team champions.
