Myra Lynn Shepard-Sibal passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2025 at the age of 63, in Lonsdale, Arkansas. She was the loving wife of Doug Sibal and devoted mother to Kristan Hulshizer-Sellens, Kortney Freeman, and Nikkole Sibal.
Lynn was born on May 30th, 1962 in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Johnny and Elizabeth (Tschacher) Shepard. After graduating from Hemingford High School Lynn started her family and became a nurturing, loving mother to her eldest two children. Lynn went on and accomplished many things in life. Lynn became the cherished wife of Doug Sibal with whom she shared 25 years of joyful companionship and deep love. Their life together was enriched by their shared passion for horses, their appreciation for the tranquility of country living, and the boundless love they had for raising their youngest child.
Lynn was known for her boundless compassion and unwavering love for everyone she met. She loved her friends and family very deeply. Her life was fulfilled spending time with her friends; going to horse shows, crafts or simply sitting on the porch just making conversation. Known for her deep love for her grandchildren, not a day went by that she did not speak of them.
Lynn is survived by her husband Doug Sibal, her daughters Kristan (James) Hulshizer-Sellens (grandson, Kaleb Sellens), Kortney (Robert) Freeman (granddaughters, Madison Hulshizer, Makenzy Hulshizer, Kajah Freeman and Kyanna Freeman) and Nikkole Sibal, her mother Elizabeth Moeller, and her sisters Ramona Zulaf, Tracy Navarro, Johnna (Bob) Wood and Skye (Jay) Weeder, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She entered eternal rest with her father Johnny Shepard, her stepfather Joseph Moeller, her son-in-law Preston Sellens, great grandbaby Laraya, and her grandparents, William and Leta Shepard, and Leonard and Josephine Tschacher, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 19th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Hemingford, Nebraska with Father Matt Koperski officiating. Interment will be in the Hemingford Cemetery. A wake service will be Wednesday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church
