Scottsbluff hosted the opening wrestling meet on the year for the Alliance junior high team. The meet was held on Saturday, November 9th. Schools competing along with the Bulldogs were: Gering, Ogallala, Sidney, Mitchell, Hay Springs, Chadron, Cheyenne McCormick, Cheyenne Carey, and the hosts Bearcats from Scottsbluff. Seven Dogs placed in the top four led by first place finishes by seventh grader Ashton Weingart and eighth grader Jace Jensen. Weingart won first in the 75 pound division while Jensen was the champ at 165.
