The Alliance Times-Herald invites the community to nominate someone in Box Butte County who is battling cancer to receive funds raised from our 2025 Giving Hope special section.
The idea behind Giving Hope was the brainchild of Kathryn Friedrichsen, former Alliance Times-Herald Publisher, who thought of it as a way to give back to those fighting the hardest of battles.
The money raised from the section will be donated to one of the people who is nominated by the community to be used for expenses associated with treatment, such as food, gas and lodging.
“Giving Hope is our way of helping, in whatever way we can, to show support for those who are battling cancer,” said Shaun Friedrichsen, ATH Publisher. “The Alliance Times-Herald stands with you in this fight, as well as the rest of the community. We may be a little behind this year, but we are happy to give what we can.”
People may nominate someone by calling the Alliance Times-Herald at 308-762-3060 and telling us about their story. Nominations are due by December 18, and the recipient of the funds raised by Giving Hope will be notified shortly thereafter. The Alliance Times-Herald would like to thank the sponsors who ran advertisements in the section, helping to make this donation possible.
