Aging Office of Western Nebraska has received a $1,514 dividend check through its participation in the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA) pooling program. The dividend was part of a $1,000,000 distribution shared with 95 eligible Nebraska counties and county-associated agency members who participate in the NIRMA II pool during NIRMA’s annual membership meeting on Oct. 24 in Kearney.
With this latest distribution, Aging Office of Western Nebraska’s own dividends from NIRMA have reached $15,190 in total since it joined in 2009. NIRMA issues dividends based on its strong financial standing, as aided by the members’ ongoing loss prevention efforts. This marks the 39th time since 1991 and the 30th consecutive year the program has been able to return funds.
