Alliance’s Bulldog stadium was the site Friday for the opening meet for the AHS’s track squads. A triangular meet was held which featured the hosts along with Hemingford and Bridgeport. No team scores were record. Sunny conditions greeted the athletes. For the Bulldogs, Alliance had a pair of first place finishers on both sides. Winning two golds for the Lady Bulldogs were Maslin Breen and Kimber Freiberger. Breen was first in both the high jump and the 100 hurdles while Freiberger took the top spot in both the mile and 2 mile. On the boy’s side, sprinter Trini Trejo was a first place finisher in both the 100 and 200. Also garnering a pair of firsts was Jordan Chubick-Schneider who won the unified 100 and long jump. Alliance also was solid in the boy’s relays, winning first in the 400, 1600, and 3200 meter events.
