Blue Sox Down Dingers 12 to 7

Baseball action on Saturday had the Peltz Co Blue Sox hosting a doubleheader against the Dingers from Chadron. In game one, Alliance defeated their rivals 12 to 7. Pitching for the Sox were starter Zeke Dean and Von Krejci. Alliance had five hits on the day and scored in every inning of the 3 frame ball game. The Peltz Co improved to 2 and 1 on the season.

Chadron enjoyed the early momentum. The Dingers pushed 5 runs across in the top of the first. Using 4 hits and a few walks, the guests surged ahead 5 to 0. Alliance came back with 3 tallies in the bottom of the frame. Hits by Bodee Barber and Canton Devlin set the table for a big inning. Alliance scored their first two runs after a hit by Levi Escamilla and a steal of home. The inning ended with another score after a hit by Cameron Walker. Heading to the second, the Dingers were up 5 to 3.

After a scoreless top of the second, the Blue Sox scored 4 times in the home half to take the lead. Parks Sylvester reached after being hit by a pitch and moved into scoring position after a walk by Barber. A passed ball and a steal of home then tied the game at 5. Devlin was next and after walking, he scored on a hit by Eugenio Lopez. Inning #2 ended win another tally by Alliance and the score 7 to 5 in favor of the Peltz Co.

In their final at bat, Chadron tied the contest. The visitors used three hits to knot the game at 7. Alliance answered back in their last attempt with 5 scores. Walks by Kade Kelley and Sylvester began the scoring. A pair of passed balls made the board read 9 to 7. The game closed with 3 more Alliance tallies and the Peltz Co getting the victory 12 to 7.
