A one hitter tossed by Senior Braeden Clarke helped the Alliance Spartan Senior squad past the Junior team 8 to 0 in action on Wednesday. Clarke pitched all 5 innings and struck out 5 in powering the Peltz Co to their second victory on the year. Alliance concluded the night with 7 hits with Creighton Fritzler leading the attack with 2. Kyler Hamel and Jayden Garcia pitched for the Peltz Co Juniors. Jace Jensen had the the lone Spartan hit for the Juniors.
Two K’s by Clarke in the top of the first kept the Juniors off the board. In the bottom of the frame, the Senior’s bats came alive. Alliance scored 4 times to take the lead. After hits by Kegan Rodriguez and Fritzler made it 1 to 0, the Seniors got a 2 run triple by Nason Thompson to surge ahead by 3. The scoring ended with an error by the Juniors and the Seniors ahead 4 to 0. No runs were scored in the second.
Inning three had the Seniors increase their advantage by scoring 2 more tallies. A knock by Clarke began the scoring. The score went to 5 to 0 after a miscue the Juniors. An RBI groundout by Mikey Johnson made the board read 6 to 0 after three inning of play. Jensen would double for the Peltz Co Juniors in the fourth but he was stranded. Singles by the Salcido brothers-Lexton and Tanner-helped the Spartans Seniors go up 7 to 0 in the bottom of the fourth. Clarke again was sharp in the top of the fifth with a 1-2-3 performance while recording another strike out. The game ended in the home half with an RBI double by Fritzler. Final Seniors 8 Juniors 0
