Class of 2026 Says “Good Bye” to the Academy

Fifteen 8th graders from the Alliance St. Agnes Academy went through graduation ceremonies Friday night at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass was first with Father Matt leading the service. Emerson Trumble begin the night with a welcome and its was followed by readings and the response by Alexis Shelmadine, James Benzel, and Aubrey Clarke. After a gospel and a homily, the prayers of the faithful were read by Grace Shrewsbury, Mason Conyers, Addison Intermill, and Lacie Torres. The gifts were then presented by Tristin Hansen and Enzo Kappius. After communion, all the members of the class of 2026 gave their personal mission statements.

After mass, the graduation ceremony began with Principal Rodney Wilhelm as the emcee. 8th grade sponsor Mark Glesinger then gave the Welcome where the class had a pop quiz called “Name that 8th grader.” Awards were then given for top history student-Jackson Chasek- and for the top citizenship. Winners for the girl were: second place Alexis Shelmadine and first place Aubrey Dudden. Citizenship awards went to Tatum Devlin for second place and James Benzel for first for the boys. The ceremony continued with many more awards and recognitions for student council, spring play, AR Reading, math counts, and sports. A Thank You was then read, presented by Tatum Devlin, Natalie Mullen, Jackson Chasek, and Aubrey Dudden. The program came to end with the graduate prayer lead by Delaney Jelinek.
