Three Firsts by Haas Carry Bobcats to a Second Place Finish

Track meet #11 for the Hemingford squads had the Cats in Bayard competing in the BCD event. Sixteen schools participated which was held on Friday. Hemingford took second on the day with 80 points and was lead by Jayce Haas. The sophomore was first in the 100, 200, and 400 races. Alliance was the winner of the team race with 136 tallies. The Bobcats also got first place performances from Keirith Yale in the high jump and Austin Benda in the 800. Mitchell finished first in the girl’s division with 131.25 points while Alliance took second with 75 points. Hemingford ended 12th with 11 points. Top scorer was Ainslee Woltman who was third in the 2 mile and 7th in the mile. Freshman Teagan Yale was sixth in the triple jump.
