Ramirez and Bloyd Shine for AMS

The curtain came down for the Alliance Middle School 8th grade track teams on Thursday with the Dogs participating in the Gering Invite. Ten schools were in action with the event held in Scottsbluff due to track issues in Gering. With 23 points, the Dogs boy’s squad came in seventh overall with the Bluffs ending first with 174 tallies. Grant Bloyd had another strong performance three fourth place finishes. He was 4th in the 100, 200, and long jump. On the girls level, AMS had 13 points and ended ninth. Scottsbluff was the team winner with 122 points. Nyah Ramirez was the leading scorer for the Lady Bulldogs with a third place medal in the pole vault. Ramirez took fifth in the 200 and ran in two relays where the Dogs placed.
