A big effort at the plate by Spartan Jace Jensen powered the Prep squad past Sidney 11 to 6 in action on Thursday. Jensen had a double and a triple resulting in 5 RBIs to leading the Peltz Co to their tenth win of the season. Alliance raced to a 9 to 0 margin early on in getting the victory. Quinn Ferguson also finished with 2 hits. The Preps had on the mound starter Logan Freiberger who pitched into the third. Dixon Bair then got the save.
Sidney went down in order in the first with Freiberger recording two strikeouts. In the home half, the Spartans tallied 6 runs. Walks to Roy Torres and Freiberger along with Bair reaching after getting hit by a pitch loaded the bases for Jensen. His 3 run triple began the scoring. Ferguson followed with a double making it 4 to 0. Later in the inning with the bases still full, the Peltz Co got rbi walks from Torres and Bair. Alliance led 6 to 0 heading into the second.
Inning #2 was another strong one for the Spartans. Sidney failed to score while the Preps plated 3. Knocks by Ferguson and AJ Garcia along with a sacrifice fly by Sonny Hernandez put the Sidney deficit at 9 to 0. The guest’s bats though came alive in the top of the third. Sidney used 5 hits and three walks to score 6 times. Alliance answered back with 2 in the bottom of the inning. Tripling was Bair as the Spartans went on the offensive. Freiberger was then hit by a pitch and both runners scored on a double by Jensen. Sidney went down quietly in their last attempt. Final
