Eight runs in the first two innings were more than enough for the Alliance Senior squad on Tuesday. Alliance jumped to a big lead and downed the Security First Regulators 13 to 1 in a home contest. The Spartans ended with 5 more in the fourth as the Peltz Co improved to 10 and 3 on the year. At the plate, Alliance finished with 11 hits. Three Spartans-Creighton Fritzler , Lexton Salcido, and Braeden Clarke-closed with 2 knocks apiece. Clarke was the starter and threw 2 scoreless frames. The Seniors then got strong relief pitching from EJ Garcia and Fritzler. Gordon was held to just two hits on the evening.
Alliance got off to a fast start. Clarke had 2 strikeouts in the opener while the Spartans scored 4 times. A two run double by Kobe Strom gave the Seniors the early lead. After an rbi single by Carver Nemnich, the Peltz Co received a run scoring triple off the bat of Clarke. After one inning of action, the Spartans enjoyed a 4 to 0 lead.
Three more Ks by Clarke kept the Regulators off the scoreboard in the top of the second. The Seniors continued to shine at the dish with 4 more tallies in the home half. Knocks from Lexton Salcido, Espen Lanik, Fritzler, and Jaxson Esparza made it an 8 to 0 ball game after two frames of play.
Inning 3 was a scoreless one for both clubs. Using a pair of walks and a single, Security First scored once in the top of the fourth. Alliance came back with a 5 spot in the bottom of the inning. The big hits came off the bats of Mike Johnson and Tanner Salcido who both had 2 RBI knocks. Clarke also singled in the Peltz Co’s last at bat. Down 13 to 1, the guests were shutout in the top of the fifth.
