Westco and Alliance went to battle on Sunday with the Expos getting the win 11 to 4. Using a five run fifth inning, Scottsbluff posted the W over the Aces. Alliance finished with 6 hits for the contest. Pitching for the Aces was starter Andre Acosta and reliever King Lopez.
Alliance went to bat first and tallied one run thanks to knocks by Julian Requejo and Iric Johnson. Westco came to take the lead in the bottom of the first with 2 scores. Alliance tied the matchup in the second. An rbi hit by Vincent Freeze knotted the game at 2. Alliance also got a hit in the frame from Braven Gange. The Expos then retook the lead with three in the home half. With two innings in the book, the Aces were down 5 to 2.
Inning #3 was a scoreless frame for Alliance while Westco plated one. Lopez had 2 strikeouts for the Aces in the inning. Alliance won inning four with a run and a shut down frame from Lopez. In the top of the four, a run scoring hit by Joseph Vela made it 6 to 3. The final frame had the Aces get within 2 at 6 to 4. Alliance’s Lincoln Foster smack a double and later scored on a passed ball. Westco ended the game with 5 tallies in their last at bat.
