Storm Surges Past Aces

Twelve scores in the second inning proved to be too much for the Alliance Aces in their game Saturday. Panhandle defeated Alliance 15 to 2 thanks to their hot bats in inning two. The Storm was up by just one heading to the home half of the second before their big at bat. A grand slam by the Storm was a huge play. Braven Gange and Vincent Freeze tossed for the Aces. Alliance finished with 2 hits.

Gange recorded three strikeouts in the bottom of the opener. In the top, the Aces went down quietly. Panhandle scored twice in their at bat to take a 2 run lead. Knocks by Andre Acosta and Landon Gentleman highlighted the top of the second for Alliance as the Aces scored once. The Storm extended their 1 run advantage in the home half with 12 tallies. Up 4 to 1, a grand slam by PH put the Alliance deficit at 7. The frame closed with 6 more Storm tallies and Alliance behind 14 to 1.

In the third, both clubs scored once. Hudson Brownlow reached on an error and scored the Aces second run by stealing home. PH used a double and passed ball to add to their margin in the bottom of the frame. Alliance went scoreless in the fourth.
