Alliance hit the road on Monday for a pair of Prep contests against Security First. Gordon scored 5 runs in the last of the 4th in getting the win 8 to 5. The Spartans outhit the hosts 11 to 4 but walks would plague the Preps. Three members of the Peltz Co finished the game with 2 hits each. They were: Dixon Bair, AJ Garcia, and Esai Trejo. On the bump for the Spartans were starter Trejo and reliever Roy Torres.
Early on it was the Spartans controlling the action. Alliance scored three times in the top of the first. Knocks by Eli Hamburger, Bair, Trejo , and Garcia resulted in 3 tallies. The Regulators scored once in the home half with Trejo getting 3 Ks. In the second, the Peltz Co went scoreless while Security First plated one. With 2 frames in the scorebook, Alliance led 3 to 2.
Inning #3 had the Prep club increasing its advantage. The Spartans scored twice to go up 5 to 2. Bair began the scoring with his second knock. It was followed by another hit by Trejo and a passed ball as the Preps went up by 2. Alliance then got hits by Quinn Ferguson, Garcia, and Silas Lilley-Stone to make it 5 to 2. Gordon came back with one in the home half and the contest went to the fourth with the Spartans ahead by 2.
Alliance would receive fourth frame knocks from Sonny Hernandez and Torres but no scores. The Regulators scored 5 times in their last attempt and won the contest
8 to 5.
