Lady Bulldogs Go 0-1 in Central Nebraska

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to central Nebraska over the weekend, where they faced off against Hastings and Kearney Catholic.

On Friday, the Lady Bulldogs took on the Lady Tigers in Hastings. In the first quarter, the Lady Tigers set the pace for the game by posting 15 points, while limiting Alliance to two points. In the next quarter, Alliance’s defense limited the Lady Tigers to six points as the Lady Bulldogs garnered eight points. Hastings overcame Alliance’s defense in the second half, scoring 11 points in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth. The Lady Bulldogs were only able to post four points in the third quarter and six in the fourth, giving the Lady Tigers the victory with a final score of 44-20.

On Saturday, the Lady Bulldogs took on the Kearney Catholic Lady Stars in Kearney. Kearney Catholic scored 12 points in the first quarter while limiting Alliance to two points. The Lady Bulldogs posted five points in the second quarter, while Kearney Catholic posted six. In the second half, the Lady Stars built on their momentum, posting 13 points in the third quarter and 21 in the fourth. The Lady Bulldogs posted two points in the third quarter, and rallied to score 10 points in the fourth. The Lady Stars claimed the victory with a final score of 52-19.

The Lady Bulldogs are 0-5 so far this season as they prepare to play in Mitchell on Friday.
