I was born in eastern South Dakota, and after a little moving around, I graduated high school from Seward, Nebraska in 2008. I attended the University of South Dakota for a year, studying technical theatre, and Chadron State College, studying History Education; however, while waiting for the semester to resume, I ended up taking a job with the Alliance Police Department as a Dispatcher. In my seven years working with APD, I find the work as a dispatcher to be very rewarding. I enjoy working in a position where I can directly serve my community and help those in need. My area of focus as a dispatcher is primarily in mental health, addressing preventative measures, crisis management, and aftercare. Outside of work, I spend most of my free time drawing and listening to music, and spending time with family, often taking my nieces to the theatre in Denver. My favorite sport is roller derby, and I have attended boot camps with the Cheyenne Capidolls flat-track team. Though it is a bit of a drive, I hope to one day be able to join the team.
