AHS Girls Basketball Strives for Improvement

AHS Head Girls Basketball Coach Mickenzie Foster is excited to see what the season brings as the athletes have put in the work and effort to hone their skills on the court.

“I have high expectations for us this year, at least to be better than last year is our main goal,” said Foster. “These girls have worked really hard. I’m really excited to see us this season.”

She hopes that the athletes strive to just get one percent better every day this season. She explained one of the biggest strengths the team has is the way in which they work together.

“Our biggest strengths are team chemistry,” Foster said. “They’ve been working really hard to have a lot of energy so far so that’s really good to see.”

Early in the season, one of the biggest struggles the team has faced has been numbers, and the quick turnaround from the first practice to the first game. Foster wants to emphasize the amount of work the athletes have put in to the season so far, as well as during the off season. She hopes that fans will come support them at the home games.

“They can come make our home environment, just come support us at home and make the atmosphere good,” said Foster.
