Alliance got their sixteenth win of the year with a 10 to 3 victory over Chadron on Wednesday. A five run second frame paved the way for the Prep club. The Peltz Co ended with seven 7 in the ball game that was played in Alliance. Quinn Ferguson started for the Spartans and went three plus frames. Reliever Roy Torres finished up the contest. Top hitters for the Preps with 2 knocks each were Silas Lilley-Stone and AJ Garcia.
Ferguson put down PVC in the top of the first. Hits by Lilley-Stone and Torres in the bottom of the inning resulted in 2 scores for the Peltz Co. Chadron scores once in the second but five tallies by the Spartans in the bottom gave them a 6 run cushion. Garcia had a 2 run hit they led the scoring. Lilley-Stone also singled in the frame. PVC closed the gap in the third with 2 scores. Another hit by Garcia in the bottom was the lone Prep highlight. Going to the 4th, the Spartans were up 7 to 3.
Chadron went scoreless in the top of inning #4. Alliance added to their advantage with 3 more tallies. Eli Hamburger singled to start the scoring. Walks to Lilley-Stone ,and Torres ensued. Dixon Bair was then hit by a pitch for run 8. Two passed ball ended the scoring with the Peltz Co up by seven. The guests failed to score in their last attempt. Sonny Hernandez had a hit in the bottom of the fifth but was stranded.
