AMS Seventh Grade Track Team Continues Winning Ways with First-Place Finish at Sidney

With 122 points the Alliance Middle School track team captured first place at the Sidney Invite which was held Friday.

The Bulldogs outdistanced second place Gering who ended with 108 points. Seven teams competed in the event. AMS got gold medals performances from Canden Marsteller who won the triple jump and Abel Moreno who took first in the 100 hurdles. For the Bulldog 8th grade squad the Dogs scored 61 which was good for fourth overall. Scottsbluff won the 8th grade division with 121 points. Will Zurn paced AMS with a second place finish in the 800 and a third place performance in the mile.

For the Lady Bulldogs the Alliance 8th grade team finished in 6th place overall with 34 points. Chadron won the 8th grade girl’s division with 110 points. As for the AMS seventh graders they tallied 24 points which was good for seventh. Ogallala won the 7th grade side with 112 points. Charlize Dorenbach led the seventh team with a third place finish in the discus and a fourth place finish in the shot. Top finisher for the 8th graders was Braylin Gibson who ended second in the triple jump
