Scottsbluff hosted their annual Junior High track meet on Saturday with seven schools in action. SB won three of the 4 divisions. With 150.25 points, the Bearcats were first in the 8th grade girl’s race with Chadron second with 137. The Lady Bulldogs ended with 12.25 which was good for seventh. Gering was the winner of the seventh grade girl’s trophy with 99 while taking second was Chadron with 92. Scoring 45 points was AMS and ended fifth.
Top performance from the seventh girls came in the 400 relay where the Dogs were the champs with a time of 57.2. Running the relay were: Bristol Knapp, Aubrey Marentes, Kinley Bellisle, and Joslinn Merrill. The Lady Bulldogs also placed fourth in the mile relay. Marentes was fourth in the 100 and second in the 200. In the 8th grade division, AMS was fifth in both the 400 and 3200 relays while Nyah Ramirez was AMS’s top scorer. Ramirez finished 6th in the 100, fifth in the 200, and fourth in the pole vault.
