There was an Alliance Volunteer Fire Department Fundraiser held at the Sky View Golf Course on June 18, where there were giveaways, dinner and $50 gift certificates that could be spent in house for the winners of the fundraiser.
The fundraiser is using the proceeds toward a training facility for the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department. The fundraiser had a successful turnout that was one of the biggest tournaments that they ever had.
“It was the second largest tournament that we have ever had. We had 17 teams that showed up it was a good mix between women and men. We had a great turnout for donations from the community, very abundant amount of donations. We really appreciate the support from the community for doing this for our training facility and fire department and the community,” said Lieutenant Jeff Jurado with the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department.
The fundraiser was split into three different flights based on handicap that players competed in: a first flight, second flight and mixed flight.
