Bank Fraud Suspect Located in Maine

A woman suspected of multiple cases of fraud across the Panhandle has been identified and apprehended in Maine.

Last week, the Alliance Police Department issued a press release, seeking the public’s help in identifying photos of a suspect.

“To date, the suspect has targeted Security First Bank in Rushville, First Interstate Bank in Alliance, and Platte Valley Bank in Bridgeport, stealing nearly $30,000 in total,” the press release stated.

The press release went on to say that the woman has been presenting fraudulent identification cards during transactions.

On October 24, the Maine State Police took to their social media seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who committed fraud at local banks in the Bangor area. They posted a photo of the woman, bearing a resemblance to the woman sought by local authorities. They later updated their post saying that she was identified and apprehended, though no more information has been released as of press time.
