The Bobcat’s headed to the Rolling Greens Golf Course in Morril on April 19. Kicking off the Hemingford Boys Golf team’s first tournament of the season.
“We were a little nervous during the first couple holes today, which is a good thing. That is something that practice can’t prepare you for,” said Coach Joe Collins.
The Bobcat’s had a team score of 393 with Dax Powell earning a sixth place medal.
“This team has high expectations of themselves and it was really good to see our scores where they fell today. I’d say they are off to a solid start, but with plenty of room for improvement,” said Collins.
Two Bobcats, Dax Powell and Daren McConville, set personal records at the tournament, with Powell shooting an 83 and McConville a 95.
“They did a tremendous job of leading our team today. We are excited about our potential and hope to only get better as the season progresses,” said Collins.
