The Hemingford Golf Team competed extremely well in the Bridgeport Golf Invitational on April 22, where they had two players place in the individual top 10. The Bobcats had earned third out of 12 other teams.
“What a great day to be a Bobcat! I am extremely proud of our team today. We still have room for lots of improvement, but the guys are still learning and are working on getting some of the higher scoring holes lower,” said Coach Joe Collins.
Dax Powell earned a fifth place medal shooting a score of 86, with Darren McConville shooting a personal record of 92 which earned him a tenth place medal. Ethan Specht also set a personal record, shooting a score of 109.
“Daren had a personal best today, beating his score from Tuesday by three strokes. Ethan also had his best round today with a 109,” said Coach Joe Collins.
