The unofficial results are in from the primary election in Box Butte County, which saw an 18.79 percent turnout rate for the election among registered voters. There were a total of 1,280 ballots cast in Box Butte County.

Pete Ricketts received 765 votes, Debb Axtell Schultz received 62 votes, Todd Knobel received 60 votes, Mac Stevens received 29 votes, Eric Mortimore received 25 votes and there were six write ins.
Republican Congress District 3:
Adrian Smith received 548 votes, David P. Huebner received 407 votes and there were three write ins.
Republican Governor:
Jim Pillen received 671 votes, John Walz received 113 votes, Sheila J. Korth-Focken received 75 votes, Gary L. Rogge received 34 votes, Jacy Todd received 30 votes, Sal Holguin received 10 votes and there were two write ins.
Republican Secretary of State:
Bob Evnen received 466 votes, Scott Petersen received 416 votes and there were three write ins.
Republican State Treasurer:
Joey Spellerberg received 785 votes and there were seven write ins.
Republican Attorney General:
Mike Hilgers received 804 votes and there were a total of four write ins.
Republican State Auditor:
Mike Foley received 796 votes and there were five write ins.
Republican Clerk of the District Court:
Molly Ridgeway received 572 votes, Brett Kelly received 362 votes and there were two write ins.
Democratic US Senator:
Cindy Burbank received 191 votes, William J. Forbes received 29 votes and there were four write ins.
Democratic Congress District 3:
Becky Kelly Stille received 193 votes and there were four write ins.
Democratic Governor:
Lynne Walz received 199 votes, Larry Marvin received 26 votes and there was one write in.
Democratic Secretary of State:
Sarah J. Slattery received 186 votes, and Lee M. Cimfel received 24 votes.

Daniel Ebers received 188 votes and there were five write ins.
