Rolls Graduates from Morningside University

More than 400 students graduated from Morningside University on Saturday, May 13 at the commencement ceremony held at Elwood Olsen Stadium on Morningside’s campus.

Morningside’s 2023 commencement marks the first ceremony for President Albert Mosley. Morningside presented honorary degrees to Evelyn Freeman, a 1947 graduate of Morningside who later became the first African American teacher in the Sioux City School District, and Bruce Forbes, a 1970 graduate who taught at Morningside for 40 years and is still involved in campus activities.

Ryley Rolls, of Alliance, graduated Cum Laude with a BSN in Nursing.

Hastings College Announces Spring Dean’s List

Hastings College has announced the Dean’s List for its spring 2023 semester. For the semester, 361 students from 20 states and 11 countries were named to the Dean’s List.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 to 4.0 scale and be registered for full-time coursework.

Students with an asterisk by their name earned a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

Chloe Blumanthal*, Diana Kollars* and Sydnie Waldron*, all of Alliance, were named to the Dean’s List.

Mount Marty University Announces Spring 2023 Dean’s List

Mount Marty University in Yankton, SD, is pleased to announce the Spring 2023 Dean’s List Honorees. The Dean’s List Honoree at Mount Marty University is defined as a full-time undergraduate student completing a full-time load of graded coursework with a minimum term grade point average of 3.5.

Chase King, of Alliance, was named to the Spring Dean’s List.
