The Nebraska Department of Labor announced on Wednesday their plans to shutter the doors of the Alliance job center and to serve Alliance from their location in Scottsbluff.
The announcement came on Wednesday via email, noting that the change will take effect on July 1.
“We are grateful to the entire Alliance team for their dedicated service over the years and celebrate with them as they make their chosen transitions,” the email stated.
The Alliance Times-Herald made multiple attempts to reach Bobbi Jo Howard, Reemployment Services Administrator with the Nebraska Department of Labor regarding the change, but she did not respond before press time.
